Market Analysis

Weekly coverage of financial markets and the economy — including macro trends, key sectors, inflation, interest rates, commodities, energy and precious metals. The aim is to be brief and to the point, rather than write lengthy epistles.

Colin Twiggs

Colin has almost 40 years experience in the finance and investment industry. Having qualified as a chartered accountant at KPMG, he joined an international investment bank where he served in a variety of senior roles before branching out on his own.

His top-down approach identifies macro trends in the global economy before evaluating selected opportunities using a combination of fundamental and technical analysis. Focusing on interest rates and financial market liquidity as primary drivers of the economic cycle, Colin warned of the 2008/2009 and 2020 bear markets well ahead of the actual events.
